Call for Chapter Proposals: African Leadership Studies: A Reader
Africanist scholars in the social sciences, humanities and related fields are invited to submit one to two-paragraph chapter proposals for a book project on African leadership studies. Proposals may focus on pre-colonial, colonial, or postcolonial male or female African leaders and may deal with political, environmental, academic, religious or traditional/cultural African leadership. Interested contributors should demonstrate how their chapters will engage the scholarly literature on leadership studies and advance debates and analyses on various contemporary approaches and theories of leadership, broadly conceived. Finally, proposals must be grounded in specific case studies of African or pan-African leaders either as individuals or in comparative perspective to other leaders, African or non-African.
Please include information on your institutional affiliation, department and current position if applicable.
The deadline for submission of proposals is November 10, 2013. The authors of successful proposals will be notified of timelines for the submission of completed chapters and furnished with further specifications on citation and length of manuscripts.
